  • Purpose of the Competition

The "Humanities and Technology Interdisciplinary Innovation and Practice Contest" is a program that combines humanistic care and social problem solving with the University's existing interdisciplinary courses to consider how to apply qualitative research, data analysis, and technological innovation to shape solutions to social problems and demonstrate the results.

  • Theme of the Competition

In 2015, the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which puts forward 17 core objectives for the world to move towards sustainable development, in the hope that the world will work together to realise a lasting, inclusive and sustainable world. The theme of this competition is "Sustainable Future". Based on humanistic thinking and the application of scientific and technological principles, we will explore the issues of social, environmental, economic and cultural sustainable development, and come up with concrete and practicable proposals. Please refer to the following topics:

  1. Taking care of the disadvantaged and promoting an equal and inclusive society.
  2. Ensure people's education and learning, cultural preservation and health and well-being.
  3. Implementing responsible consumption and production patterns.
  4. Towards a life of net zero carbon emissions and energy saving.
  • Participants Eligibility

Students enrolled in our school, with a team of at least 3 members, each team should have a mentor.

  • Cross-disciplinary teams are preferred.
  • Work submission method

the online registration method is used to complete the registration. Please submit your project proposal and video when filling out the online application form. The application period is from now until May 3, 2024 (Fri).

  • Competition schedule
  1. Announcement of finalists: May 24, 2024.
  2. Workshop on the creation of meaning of optimized works: May 31, 2024.
  3. Final competition: June 19, 2024, held at  Feng Chia University. Prizes will be presented on-site after the competition.
  • Grading criteria
    • Preliminary Judgement:
  1. Thesis statement 40%: the developed work can improve or solve social problems.
  2. Creativity of the proposal 60%: innovation, feasibility and futuristic nature of the work.
  • Final Judgement:
  1. Thesis statement 40%: the developed work improves or solves a social problem.
  2. Creativity of the proposal 50%: innovation, feasibility and future of the work.
  3. Presentation 10%: Poster presentation of the work and live presentation by the team.
